The Role

Are you an experienced carpenter looking to make a difference within the North Devon community? North Devon Homes is seeking a carpenter to join our Multi-Skilled Operatives within our Response & Void team. You’ll deliver high-quality improvement, repair, and installation activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a full range of Repair & Maintenance to a professional standard, whilst being highly productive and working with minimum supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers to deliver an efficient, customer-focused repairs service.
  • Maintain excellent service standards and represent North Devon Homes professionally.
  • Support continuous improvement and promote our values and culture.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and operational protocols.
  • Manage van stock and issued equipment effectively.
  • Participate in out-of-hours service provision when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Competency in fitting worktops, lock& latches, fitting & repairing uPVC windows & doors; replacing fence panels &posts; replacing floorboards; replacing timber internal & external doors & door furniture.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in carpentry or similar.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of construction activities and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
