The Role
This is a key Finance Manager position with responsibility for leading financial reporting and providing clear, commercially focused insight to support decision making across the organisation.
You will take ownership of core finance processes, ensuring strong financial control, accuracy, and compliance, while working closely with senior stakeholders to understand performance, identify risks, and drive improvements.
The role offers a balance of technical delivery and business partnering, with the opportunity to influence financial planning, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to ongoing Finance transformation.
You will also play an important role in developing junior team members and strengthening a high performing, collaborative finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate month end close, ensuring timely reconciliations and high quality reporting
- Prepare and review P and L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts with clear, value add commentary
- Produce financial information for internal and external stakeholders, including banking requirements and financial models
- Manage the annual statutory audit and liaise with external auditors
- Oversee VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK GAAP
- Partner with Procurement on stock take processes, identifying cost saving and optimisation opportunities
- Contribute to high quality management information to support operational decision making
- Manage and develop 2-part qualified accountants, providing coaching and clear objectives
- Promote a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support Finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience in a Finance or Financial Accountant role, with line management experience or ready to step up
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and analytical approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
- Experience within healthcare is desirable but not essential
