Salary: £15.76 - £23.64/annum

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and patient Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a bright and engaging 21 year old with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, a history of epilepsy, and low muscle tone. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30, and offers a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a mans daily life by supporting his learning, development, and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct, person-centred support in line with the mans individual needs and care plan

*

Support the boy with daily routines, communication, emotional regulation, and engaging in activities

*

Promote his physical wellbeing, including safe mobility support and exercise suitable for low muscle tone

*

Monitor for signs of seizures and respond appropriately, following agreed health protocols

*

Work collaboratively with the family, educational professionals, and healthcare providers

*

Encourage independence while offering consistent reassurance and guidance

About You:

*

Experience working with people with additional needs (including autism and ADHD)

*

Calm, consistent, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills

*

Understanding of epilepsy and how to respond to seizures (training can be provided)

*

Physically capable of supporting a man with low muscle tone and mobility challenges

*

Passionate about making a difference in the life of a man and his family

*

Reliable, flexible, and trustworthy

*

Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training (e.g. first aid, safeguarding, manual handling)

Desirable:

*

Previous experience with personal care or behaviour support strategies

*

Knowledge of visual aids, communication devices, or sensory needs

*

Full driving licence

*

Physical Intervention Training
