Are you a commercially minded finance leader with a passion for manufacturing? We are seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Finance to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business.

As part of a global group, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the finance function in a well-established manufacturing business with international reach. You will lead and develop the UK finance team, support a small overseas finance function, and work closely with senior stakeholders to provide the insight and control needed to drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidated reporting for the UK and group

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insight to guide investment and manufacturing decisions

Manage the annual external audit and liaise with external tax consultants for statutory returns

Support and mentor the Finance Manager, and oversee the development of the wider finance team

Provide guidance to the finance team of our sister company, including monthly reporting and forecasting

Strengthen internal financial controls, systems, and processes

Liaise with external advisors including auditors, tax consultants, banks, insurance brokers and pension providers

Work with senior management to assess opportunities, manage risks, and support long-term growth

Provide oversight for HR, Legal, and IT functions to ensure compliance with group requirements

What we're looking for:

Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Proven experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment

Strong technical background in management reporting, group consolidation, and statutory compliance

Experience managing and developing finance teams

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across departments and at senior levels

Commercially astute with the ability to use financial insight to influence strategic decisions

Confident in improving systems, processes, and internal controls

Willingness to travel occasionally to support our subsidiary
