Salary: £21,500 - £22,500 per annum

We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organise production according to demand and quality standards. They will be the one to ensure our products are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.

An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimise them. They are organised and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.

The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products

  • Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay

  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand

  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget

  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption

  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)

  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports

  • Keep paperwork organised

  • Liaise with Customer Service team, Warehouse and Purchasing team to confirm customer requirements
  • Create material orders requests to meet production demands liaising with site function heads to obtain daily weekly requirements.
  • Coordinate daily intercompany, external sub-contractor and finished goods despatching on a daily basis and controlling warehouse / ERP system administration activities .

Requirements

  • Proven experience as production planner would be desirable

  • Previous knowledge of production planning and quality control principles

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be desirable

  • Working knowledge of MS Office

  • Good at maths and statistics

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication abilities

Salary offered: £21K to £22.500

Hours:  Mon to Fri 08.30 to 5pm, 30 Mins lunch break.40 hour working week.
