As we move into our next exciting phase of growth and impact, we are seeking a passionate and visionary Headteacher to lead our College. This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change, shape futures, and lead an exceptional team committed to learner success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership aligned with the College’s mission and values.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee curriculum development, enrichment activities, and quality assurance processes.
  • Lead and support a committed team of tutors and staff through effective recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of safeguarding, inclusivity, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strengthen external partnerships to enhance learner outcomes in wellbeing, education, and employability.
  • Manage budgets responsibly and contribute to sustainable business growth.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or substantial leadership experience within Further Education (FE).
  • Proven track record in senior leadership within FE, post-16 education, or an Independent Training Provider (ITP) setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) relevant to FE and Skills.
  • Strong experience supporting SEND learners in educational environments.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Level 3 qualification or willingness to achieve within 3 months.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people (desirable).
  • Knowledge or training in Trauma-Informed Practice with a strong commitment to holistic learner support.
  • Demonstrated leadership in promoting inclusive, learner-centred education.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
