The DT Department
The Design Technology Department is exceptionally well-equipped, with dedicated workshops, CAD suites, 3D printers, and laser cutters. At KS4 and KS5, DT is a popular and successful subject with excellent exam outcomes and strong progression rates.

Your Role as Design Technology Teacher

Teach DT across all key stages, including KS5 if qualified

Develop practical and theoretical skills in materials, tools, and design thinking

*

Encourage creativity, resilience, and real-world application

*

Support STEM enrichment activities such as design competitions and maker fairs

*

Contribute to the evolving DT curriculum, with scope for specialisation

Ideal Candidate

QTS with a background in Product Design, Engineering, or DT

*

Strong practical skills and the ability to manage a safe, inspiring learning environment

Excellent planning and classroom management

*
