An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced CNC Machinist specialising in Turning operations. This full-time position involves programming, setting, and operating CNC Trning machines in a dynamic precision engineering environment. The successful candidate will work within a skilled team to support a variety of machining projects and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret engineering drawings and CNC programs to understand machine movements and feature creation.
Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines.
Select and apply appropriate cutting tools and liaise with tooling suppliers.
Conduct in-process inspections using hand tools and apply quality control measures.
Identify and resolve machine issues and support process improvements.
Assist in the development of machining processes, fixtures, and tooling.
Meet production deadlines and scheduling commitments.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to 5S principles.
Collaborate with colleagues to optimize quality and production efficiency.
Machine Controls:

Experience with Mazak (Mazatrol) and Fanuc controls preferred.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CNC machining, particularly in turning.
GCSEs or equivalent educational background.
Proficiency in CNC programming.
Practical problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to work from both verbal and written instructions.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills:

Experience with Mazak programming.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodology
