Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior EC&I Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis, located in Warrington.
The Role
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Produce technical reports covering scope of works, concept designs, and detailed EC&I designs
Carry out site surveys of existing installations where required to inform design development
Develop single line diagrams, block cable diagrams, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and associated technical drawings
Complete cable sizing and modelling calculations for electrical O&M systems
Prepare design documentation in line with defined quality standards and regulatory requirements
Support delivery teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project objectives
You will be expected to take ownership of your design packages and ensure accuracy, compliance, and coordination with wider project teams.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant EC&I design role, including successful delivery of electrical installation designs within pharmaceutical projects
HNC, HND, or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Strong technical design background with significant experience in UK utility projects, particularly clean and wastewater
Familiarity with WIMES industry standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite or equivalent Electrical O&M cable sizing software
Practical understanding of delivering compliant, buildable designs within regulated environments
