Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering
  • Conducting training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
  • Instructing on the operation of lathe and milling machines
  • Teaching the safe use of hand tools
  • Providing training in hydraulics or pneumatics
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety practices and procedures
  • Utilising chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
  • Experience operating lathe and milling machines
  • Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics
  • Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures
  • Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable)
