A London City based insurance company is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant following a continued period of growth within the business.Reporting to the Group Accountant and joining a team of 5 the successful applicant will log purchase invoices and personal expenses into AP system, approve invoices, schedule expense payments, prepare weekly/monthly aged creditor reports and reconciliations, post cash entries into the bank ledger, complete supplier statement reconciliations and ensure ledger is up to date, prepare ad-hoc analysis when required, support cash forecasting with Treasury and accruals/prepayments and fixed assets with the Accounting team and assist with ad hoc project work when requested.Applicants will ideally be AAT qualified with a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles, have previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts assistant role, posses strong excel skills and have experience working with multiple currencies within a multi entity organisation.
