Lead Mechanical Building Services Engineer

Location: West London (Critical Hospital Environment)

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our team in a critical hospital environment in West London. This is a senior role where you will take responsibility for the mechanical systems that are essential to patient safety and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage mechanical building services across the hospital estate.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Oversee maintenance, testing, and upgrades of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

Respond promptly to critical issues to maintain uninterrupted hospital operations.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

Proven experience in mechanical systems within healthcare or other critical environments.

Strong knowledge of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) and relevant UK regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage complex projects.
