Mediplacements is looking for a skilled and experienced band 6 Histology Biomedical Scientist to fill an ongoing locum role in our client's laboratory based in Manchester.

This position is due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of £23-£25 per hour.

Working Pattern: Mon-Fri
*Shift pattern: 9-5
*Specific skills: HCPC registered BMS, Experience within a UK/NHS busy cellular pathology lab, ability to cut at least 40 blocks per hour, ability to cut levels and serial sections, embedding and special stains

The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have experience with histology techniques such as embedding, sectioning, staining, and reporting of histology specimens. They must also be familiar with the use of a range of laboratory equipment and be able to troubleshoot and maintain them as required.
