Role: -Technical Transfer Scientist (Medical Devices)
Location:York
Salary: - £25-28,000 p/a
Type: -Full time, permanent- Monday to Friday 9-5pm

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Transfer Scientist to join a rapidly growing lateral flow manufacturer who offer services from initial concept through scale-up to high volume manufacturing. Our client manufactures a number of lateral flow products including COVID-19, sexual health, fertility, animal and plant health and have recently gone through a large recruitment phase due to an increase in projects.

Responsibilities
• Lead and support the transfer of the R&D projects into routine manufacture, being involved in optimisation, verification, and validation
• Developing lateral flow assays for third party
• Maintain a design and development programme
• Interaction with the customers
• Prepare written SOPS
• Provide technical support to customers and sales team.
• Help prepare technical marketing material
• Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding product development requirements and life cycle materials
• Work in line with the QMS
• Take part in internal audits

The Person
• Educated within a scientific background
• Previous experience in design control and risk management
• Experience within the Medical device industry, exposure to ISO 13485 would be ideal.
• Previous experience in design transfer
• Exposure and understanding of regulatory documents.
• Experience of failure investigate and trouble shooting and equipment qualification.
