We're working with a leading global business to appoint a UKI Tax Manager into a key role within their high-performing finance team. Based at their UK Head Office in Reading, this is a broad and hands-on position with oversight across UK and Ireland tax compliance, reporting, planning, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee UK and Ireland Corporate Tax, VAT, PSA, and other filings, working closely with external advisors
• Lead all tax-related reporting under US GAAP (including FAS109, Pillar 2, and deferred tax)
• Own SOX and GCS controls for tax and ensure robust compliance
• Manage the quarterly tax forecasting and budgeting process
• Drive automation initiatives in tax reporting (e.g. VAT automation)
• Act as the main point of contact for HMRC (including SAO)
• Supervise two indirect reports via outsourced providers

About You:

• ACA (or equivalent) with a strong accounting foundation
• 5+ years of experience in tax, ideally from a Big 4 firm or large international group
• Confident across UK corporation tax and indirect taxes (VAT/Customs)
• Experienced in SAP and HFM
• Skilled in managing outsourced providers and liaising with auditors and HMRC
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
