Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Overview

A well-established company in the advanced manufacturing sector is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the development and execution of a long-term sales and growth strategy. This newly created position will play a critical role in expanding the company's client base, driving sales of existing and new product ranges, and ensuring a strong presence across key markets.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from within the Polymer or related technical materials sectors, with a clear track record of success in a similar business development or technical sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sustainable revenue growth by implementing a strategic business development plan aligned with company objectives

*

Expand the customer base and product offerings, targeting both existing markets and new growth opportunities

*

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships based on understanding and fulfilling customer needs

*

Monitor and report monthly sales performance, margins, forecasts, and opportunities to the senior management team

*

Prepare and deliver quarterly reports for presentation to the board of directors

*

Stay informed on emerging market trends, new product opportunities, and competitive developments

*

Contribute to recruitment planning, performance coaching, and objective setting for the commercial team

Requirements & Qualifications

*

Proven experience in business development or technical sales within the polymers industry

*

Demonstrated success in driving growth and developing client relationships in comparable markets

*

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

*

Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset

*

Excellent time management and planning abilities

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems preferred

*

Formal qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field would be advantageous
