Are you a hands-on Warehouse Manager with a mechanical mindset and a passion for process improvement? We’re working exclusively with a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Tewkesbury to find a proactive and technically minded Warehouse Manager to join their close-knit team.
The Role: This is a varied and hands-on position where you’ll lead a small warehouse team (2 operatives), manage day-to-day operations, and get involved in light assembly and technical tasks. You’ll also play a key role in stock control, order processing, and liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee goods-in, stock management, and order fulfilment
- Support and train operatives in assembly and testing tasks
- Manage internal stock orders and liaise with suppliers (including international)
- Provide cover for technical assembly during staff absence
- Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders
- Maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment
- Contribute to process improvements and technical problem-solving
About You: - Experience managing or supervising a small warehouse team
- Comfortable with hands-on work and light mechanical assembly
- Technically minded
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work collaboratively in a small, supportive team
- Previous experience working for an engineering company is beneficial
- Counterbalance forklift licence essential
