Kforce's client, a fast growing, technology focused company is looking to add Technical Support - Cloud expertise to their local team in Tempe, AZ. This candidate should possess excellent customer service skills and a desire to advance their technical skills in a dynamic cloud environment. Summary: The Cloud Support Engineer provides inbound technical support for our client's products via the telephone, email, and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of many infrastructures and other environmental variables, as well as a detailed analysis of log files. This highly technical support role requires deep analytical troubleshooting of complex technical problems. This position is not a traditional call center-based customer service role. Job Duties:
  • Provide technical support for our client's top revenue generating partners via telephone, email, and web conferencing
  • Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning our client's cloud platform products and the underlying technologies
  • Research and troubleshoot customer problems and inquiries
  • Update and work assigned support cases in a timely manner
  • Maintain strong customer rapport and excellent, timely communication

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in absence of experience/certifications
  • Certifications in server, networking, or SQL highly desired
  • 3-5 years of technical troubleshooting experience in a role where analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills were required
  • Creativity and perseverance for solving technical problems and the ability to perform deep log analysis of proprietary software logging and/or application performance analysis using sysinternals or windbg
  • Proven track record of high customer satisfaction ratings in customer or technical service role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment for team success
  • Experience administrator-level tasks with the current supported version of Microsoft Windows Server (debugging windows event logs, active directory, registry hierarchy)
  • Advanced knowledge of database engines like Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle (administration, scripting, hierarchy)
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP (OS, firewalls configuration) and networking configuration/troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS, Wireshark)
  • Experience with administrator-level task and/or deployment of virtualization technologies: VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV (virtual machine management, host management)
  • Previous experience or good understanding of storage system administration (SAN, NAS, VSAN)
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to operate effectively in stressful situations
