Our client is an established and successful business based in Cramlington. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. If you meet the person specification for the role, please apply below.

The role you will be doing

* Preparing and analysing financial data, with a focus on revenues, maintenance costs and labour spend

* Supporting month end reporting, budgeting and payroll processing

* Monitoring operational costs

* Contributing to improving systems and processes

* Providing wider administrative support where needed

About you

* Part qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent)

* Proven experience in an accounting or finance role

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)

* Familiar with general accounting software

* Strong attention to detail

* Have the ability to manage a varied workload

* Proactive, team-oriented approach is key
