Merchandising Administrator

Join our client's merchandising team as a Merchandising Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the category meets its objectives and remains compliant with company and legal guidelines. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a natural curiosity to learn and develop.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare accurate analysis as required by the Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser within agreed timescales, ensuring all reports are downloaded and cascaded appropriately.
- Assist the replenishment team with store trade queries and liaise with suppliers, imports, and warehousing teams to ensure a smooth flow of stock from the supplier to the depot.
- Update delivery schedules to reflect the latest supplier delivery positions and maintain relevant systems. Raise new orders under the guidance of the Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser.
- Ensure all orders are generated accurately in line with the critical path and prepare all stock builds against agreed parameters.
- Maintain accurate delivery and shipment records for all products using the appropriate systems.
- Build effective working relationships with suppliers, store colleagues, and retail support teams.
- Provide administrative support to the broader Merchandising teams as required, including the accurate logging of markdown and promotional activity.
- Demonstrate high levels of process compliance and data integrity.
- Data entry and housekeeping of forecasting systems.
- Gain commercial awareness of product ranges, stores, and competitors.
- Prepare for, attend, and take notes at meetings, ensuring team activity is legal and compliant.
