We are currently recruiting for 3 Skilled Mechanical Fitters to join a well-established industrial engineering business specialising in pump and mixer equipment. This is an excellent opportunity offering long-term stability with genuine temp-to-perm prospects.

• £16.81 per hour

• 15% shift allowance (early & afternoon shifts)

• Overtime paid at:

  • 50% uplift - Weekdays & Saturday

  • 100% uplift - Sunday

• 100% temp-to-perm opportunity (permanent roles typically offered within 3 months)

As a Skilled Fitter, you will:

• Assemble pump and mixer equipment in line with engineering drawings and company procedures

• Fit components and modules to precise technical specifications

• Work collaboratively within the build team to ensure efficient assembly processes

• Conduct production testing in line with established procedures and complete accurate test documentation

• Ensure all assembled components meet required quality standards

• Operate hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely

• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times

Qualifications (Essential):

• Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering

• City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 (Mechanical discipline)

Desirable:

• HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering

• Motor wiring certification

• Mechanical seal knowledge

• Experience with progressive cavity (PC) pumps or wastewater assemblies

Experience Required:

• Proven mechanical fitting experience (valves, machinery builds, compressors or similar industrial equipment)

• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments (non-automotive)
