As part of continued growth, our client is looking to expand their team with the addition of a Field Service Technician. In this mobile role, you will provide critical on-site support across a wide customer base in the North region focusing on key airports.

The successfull candiate will have previous field based/mobile mechanical experience with HGV's, plant machinery or Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

Key Responsibilities

* Perform planned maintenance on airport GSE

* Conduct breakdown repairs and fault-finding (electrical and mechanical)

* Carry out calibrations and fire system inspections

* Support thorough examinations in accordance with LOLER (depending on competency)

* Deliver expert technical support and diagnostics

Required Experience

* Proven experience in maintaining and repairing Ground Support Equipment, Commercial Vehicles, HGV, Materials Handling Equipment, or Plant Machinery

* Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Excellent interpersonal and planning skills

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Able to pass a 5-year background check (employment/education references required)

Preferred Experience:

* Previous relevant experience

* GCSE or equivalent education

* Previous experience with airport GSE, HGVs, or similar machinery is beneficial
