RIOTOUS RESTRUCTURING / INCISIVE INSOLVENCY SOLICITOR (6/7PQE)

Legal Works are currently seeking a 6/7PQE+ Insolvency / Restructuring Solicitor to join cutting edge team in this US practice.

TEAM

The TEAM represents a wide range of clients in US, UK and cross-border matters, including both formal bankruptcies/insolvencies as well as out-of-court restructurings of financially troubled companies.

The TEAM uses an understanding of corporate finance and capital markets to assist clients in realizing maximum value and recovery. They deal with clients in respect to the myriad of insolvency, creditors' rights and commercial law issues that arise in complex corporate and real estate acquisitions, divestitures and financings.

The TEAM represents creditors', bondholders' and equity committees, secured and unsecured creditors, corporate debtors, trustees, lenders and other sources of financing and parties interested in acquiring assets and businesses from chapter 11 debtors and other financially troubled companies.

The TEAM represents both debtors and creditors which has tangible benefits for clients in that it gives an understanding of how to resolve the problems presented in any troubled-company situation.

The TEAMs experience in large, complex transactional assignments - from leveraged buyouts to strategic mergers - gives them true insight in dealing with the challenges presented by realizing value from distressed businesses and assets.

ROLE

The TEAM is looking for and experience restructuring / insolvency senior associate to deal with the full range of matters including:-

*Big ticket restructuring;
*Schemes /Cram Downs / Compromise Settlements;
*Out of Court Restructuring;
*Cross-Border Restructuring;
*Distressed Furniture Acquisition
*Debt Trading ClaimS
*Enforcement
*Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive ("BRRD")
*Strike-off and Restoration - assist companies to be struck-off once they have become dormant and restore companies where they have already been struck-off and dissolved.
*Insolvency Litigation
*Cross Border Litigation

YOU

To be successful you will:-

*Be c6/7PQE+;
*Be qualified in and have experience of working in the UK;
*Have high quality relevant experience, gained at from Magic Circle, leading US, mid tier or regional firms which have established reputations in this area. In-house lawyers with relevant experience will also be of interest.
*Have a very strong academic record;
*Have a commercial outlook and excellent people skills, drive and enthusiasm;
*Be comfortable dealing with clients as you will be given a lot of direct contact;
*Have a refined approach to marketing and business development.
