Calling all Quantity Surveyors based in the South West of the UK!

OCM Consulting is growing — and we're looking for talented Quantity Surveyors to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding consultancy, offering exposure to a wide range of Civil Engineering Contractors and projects across the region.

About Us

OCM Consulting specialises in delivering a full range of Quantity Surveying services to an expanding portfolio of Civil Engineering Contractors. You'll work on a diverse mix of projects, contributing to every commercial aspect alongside a skilled, collaborative team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor and take a lead role in managing commercial responsibilities from project start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

* Site measurement for internal and external valuations

* Change management and entitlement assessment

* Programme change support

* Applications for payment

* Final account preparation and settlements

* Dispute resolution

* Material quantification and scheduling

* Site measurement, take-offs, and cost analysis

* Attending progress and commercial meetings

* Managing contractor supply chain documentation

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the UK

* Strong background in UK-based Civil Engineering projects

* Sound working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts

* Qualified to at least HNC level in a relevant discipline

* Valid CSCS card

* Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused

* Willingness to attend site 2-3 days per week (clean UK driving licence required)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team

* Must be currently residing in the UK

* Must have full right to work in the UK (e.g. British citizen, ILR, settled status)

* We are not considering overseas applicants or those requiring visa sponsorship
