The Director of Accounts Receivable will support the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle in direction and development of the department, and will report to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle. The Director will be responsible for managing to key performance indicators to meet HFMA top tier benchmarks.
Position duties include:
Daily Monitoring of KPI’s to ensure alignment to meet all goals and creating strategic planning to meet each.
Managing the daily work-flow of the department along with monitoring production and quality assurance standards.
Reviewing the Accounts Receivable inventory for trends and providing root cause resolution.
Holding daily huddles to efficiently cover new or evolving training focuses to encourage and develop team members.
Hiring, training, and developing assigned Managers and Supervisors.
Partnering with Human Resources to maintain consistent policy and managing expectations with recruiting department to ensure staffing levels are met.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, business, accounting or a healthcare specific field.
Master’s Degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience working with hospital-specific Healthcare Insurance Claims.
2-4 years previous managerial experience within a healthcare revenue cycle setting.
Excellent working knowledge of the hospital revenue cycle.

Advanced knowledge of healthcare A/R, collections, insurance, government programs and appeals including Compliance Regulations and Guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and/or hospital based operations related to the revenue cycle including Health Information Management, Patient Access, Clinical.
Advanced knowledge of Quality/Case Management, Management Information Systems, Accounting and Finance.
Ability to create and clearly communicate strategic and tactical plans leading to an efficient and effective operation.
Strong knowledge of Excel to include creating using formulas, pivot tables and Macros.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have proven leadership skills - the ability to motivate and lead in a team-based productivity environment.
