(Maternity Cover - Day Shift)
Full-time | Fixed Term - 12 Months | £15.44 per hour
Ashford, Kent | Onsite | 40 hours per week

Our client, a well-established and fast-paced production business based in Ashford, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to provide maternity cover on the day shift.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic environment where you'll support daily production operations and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and team performance.
What you'll be doing:
* Support the day-to-day running of the production floor
* Lead and motivate staff to meet targets
* Maintain quality control and compliance with food safety standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
* Ensure accurate inventory and production records
* Liaise across teams and departments to ensure smooth workflow
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role
* Background in production; food import/export industry ideal
* Confident communicator and problem solver
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory systems
