About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be assisting the Tutor / Teacher in delivering the curriculum and contribute to the provision of a learning environment, which maximises individual learning opportunities and outcomes and ensures that educational objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Tutor / Teacher, be an effective member of a trans-disciplinary team which will enable access to the curriculum and realise the potential of all learners.
• To assist with the implementation of strategies that maximize the achievement of learning outcomes for all learners
• To create in conjunction with other members of staff a caring, safe and inspiring learning environment in which growth and independence are fostered by the maintenance of a supportive and positive role.
• To ensure that the classroom is prepared appropriately for each session and to keep the classroom organised to the Tutor's / Teacher's specifications including supplies of disposable and perishable goods

About you

· To be able to provide and ensure the consistency of care and support to the learner group.

· Ability to run learning activities for a small group of students

· Ability to lead a small team

· To have proven experience of promoting learning, assessing learning and recording learner progress and achievements

· Relevant qualifications, working towards, or prepared to work towards or Level 3 Teaching Assistants
