About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control (QC) Gas Engineer to join our team. In this important role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all gas engineering work is carried out to the required standards in line with Gas Safety Regulations and company procedures.

This role involves supporting the ongoing development of engineers by identifying training needs, conducting regular quality and safety checks, and investigating complaints or technical issues such as poor workmanship or carbon monoxide concerns.

Key Responsibilities

Validate the quality and compliance of completed gas works.

*

Identify knowledge gaps and report training needs to line managers.

*

Attend complaint and problem jobs to assess and document issues, including safety risks and poor workmanship.

*

Provide photographic evidence, reports, and recommendations using a PDA following site visits.

*

Perform regular HSE checks, including inspections of vehicles, PPE, and ladders.

*

Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and maintain high standards across the workforce.

*

Carry out a sufficient number of quality control checks each year to meet client and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

*

Valid ACS and other relevant domestic/commercial gas qualifications.

*

Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points).

*

Experience within social housing is desirable, but not essential.

*

Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to write clear reports.
