Calibration Engineer Job Description

Here at Impact Recruitment, we are hiring Electrical or Mechanical Engineers for one of our premium clients based in Northampton. They are looking for someone who has mechanical or electrical technical experience, to carry out the calibration of their instruments and third-party instruments associated with the business. As well as providing technical advice and guidance to customers and colleagues ensuring the highest levels of service.

Salary: £34,500

Location: Northampton

Shift: Days

Hours: 8:30am - 4pm

Responsibilities:

Carry out calibration of products both in-house and on customer sites.
To provide support to the Calibration Technical Manager including but not limited to assisting with maintaining the UKAS Accreditation.
Responsible for calibration process procedure development and updating of specified documentation and procedures/processes.
To create technical formulaic spreadsheets ensuring information is captured and stored accurately.
Ensure calibration equipment is fit for purpose and regularly maintained and calibrated as per requirements.
Preparation of Calibration Certificates for calibrated equipment.
Identify faults/problems together with effective solutions.
Maintenance of internal and external calibration records
Proactively promote and follow HSE practices, manage risk and take appropriate action regarding reporting and avoiding all incidents, near misses and hazards.
To promote the vision and values of the organisation
Flexible to carry out any other tasks in accordance with departmental and organisational needs.
Appropriate national/international travel.

Requirements:

Essential

Computer Literate
Detailed knowledge of using MS Office products specifically Excel and Windows 10
Good level knowledge of mathematics
Full valid Driving Licence
Mechanical or Electrical technical experience
Driving License

Preferred

Experience with ISO-17025 or ISO9001
Experience in Calibration
Good knowledge of physics and chemistry
Experience with RAMS documentation
