Responsibilities in your new role as Administrator

As a Administrator, you will serve a key role in managing invoicing processes, handling customs paperwork, and acting as both import and export administrator. You will take multi-modal bookings from customers and overseas partners via phone or email, ensuring that their needs are met with effective solutions, competitive rates, and efficient routing. You'll be responsible for booking shipments with suppliers and negotiating rates when necessary, as well as creating job entries in the shipping system, adding supplier and sales costs. You'll also manage invoicing and ensure that all supporting documentation is forwarded to customers. Additionally, you'll support sales by identifying new prospects and maintaining our prospect database while liaising with other UK offices on operational and accounting matters, all while keeping the office organized and efficient.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking for someone who may have multi-modal experience, although this is not necessary as we provide extensive training in Air, Ocean, and Road logistics. You'll thrive in a team setting, yet feel confident taking the initiative with tasks and proposing new ideas. Excellent communication skills are essential, especially over the phone, along with quick problem-solving abilities to address service issues for clients and suppliers alike. Strong organizational and IT skills, particularly with Excel for quotations and sales reporting, are required. Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of relevant experience to bring to this vibrant team.
