About the Role
As the Site Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee the entire production lifecycle — from contract review and order planning through to manufacturing execution and final delivery. You’ll work closely with department team leaders, engineering, quality, supply chain, and suppliers to drive operational excellence across the site.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance people, processes, materials, and capacity to deliver high-quality products on time while continually finding ways to improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and coordinate production from order intake to customer shipment.
- Lead the review of all incoming orders and assess complexity, capacity, and resource needs.
- Build effective production schedules and evaluate subcontracting requirements where needed.
- Support team leaders in executing and adjusting production schedules
- Respond proactively to shifting priorities, material issues, and customer requests.
- Maintain strict quality standards and collaborate with QA and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure all processes comply with specifications and customer requirements.
- Work with teams to expedite materials and components through internal processes and subcontractors.
- Support customer pull-forwards, push-outs, and ensure promise dates are met.
- Monitor shortages and develop plans to reduce their impact on customer deliveries.
- Work closely with supply chain and procurement to mitigate material risks.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and CI projects to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
- Drive operational improvements and develop team leaders to embed best practice.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in Manufacturing Management, Operations, or Production Leadership.
- Strong understanding of contract review, capacity planning, and resource scheduling.
- Experience managing subcontractors and supplier relationships.
- Solid knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in driving Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desirable
- Experience in electronics or similar manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
