We’re looking for a SEND Project Manager for our public sector client based in Liverpool on an initial 6-month contract paying up to £500 per day outside IR35.

This role is reporting to the Head of SEND and accountable to the Programme Director. You will lead the setup and delivery of 6 to 8 workstreams/projects, and establish a Project Management Framework for future PMs to adopt. You’ll also develop Terms of Reference for each workstream and task-and-finish group.

This role requires strong project setup and delivery experience, alongside knowledge of SEND and its challenges.

Key Requirements -

• Proven experience in setting up and managing complex projects

• Knowledge and understanding of SEND

• Ability to support workstream leads in prioritising activity

• Capacity to absorb and progress project workload independently

• Excellent organisational skills and use of PM tools

• Able to work at pace - understanding time lost increases financial deficit

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Balancing cost-efficiency with quality and improved outcomes for children and young people

• Ability to engage and work with a wide range of stakeholders including schools and external agencies

• A can-do attitude is essential

• A team player with flexibility and resilience

• Experience with milestone planning and reporting
