Job Title: D1 Driver (Non-PCV)

Location: Twickenham TW2 7SG (Travel round borough)

Hourly rate: £13.85 PAYE / £18.18 Umbrella per hour

Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 30 hours, 6 hours per day, split shift (8am-11am & 3pm -6pm)

About the Role

As a D1 Category Driver (Non-PCV), you'll play a vital role in the Richmond and Wandsworth Shared Staffing Arrangement, providing safe and supportive transport services for adults, including those with disabilities. You'll be responsible for transporting clients to and from day centres and other venues, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport clients and goods to designated locations.
Assist passengers with mobility and ensure their well-being during journeys.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.
Use communication equipment to stay in contact with the Transport Office.
Report any concerns about client safety or vehicle issues promptly.
Adapt vehicle seating and use equipment like tail-lifts and restraints safely (training provided).What We're Looking For

A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) with Category D1 entitlement.
Experience in a social care transport environment.
Understanding of vehicle safety, maintenance, and health & safety practices.
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
A first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.
