I'm recruiting a Sales Manager for a leading UK defence manufacturing organisation based in Coventry, West Midlands.

Due to continued and significant growth my client is expanding their sales and commercial teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities across domestic and international markets. Reporting directly to the Business Development Director you will be responsible for building and managing sales pipelines and showcasing the company's capabilities to key commercial partners worldwide.

My client is at the forefront of composite armour systems for vehicle land systems and marine platforms. They have been developing their engineering capabilities to design complete custom composite armour systems that meets the rigorous requirements of customers such as the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), North American and European defence organisations.

Key responsibilities and daily tasks will include:

* Identify and pursue new business-winning opportunities.

* Identify and collate the customer's requirements, needs, and problems.

* Support the broader Business Development team through opportunity tracking, reporting, and preparing high-impact briefs for stakeholders.

* Represent the company at client sites, industry events, and global forums, including international travel to engage with key customers and end users.

* Support the Bid Management Team in responding to tenders.

* Proactively support the delivery of sales forecasts.

Ideally, we're seeking individuals with the following skills and experience:

* Experience in sales or business development function.

* Experience in defence and security industry.

* Degree or Higher Education qualified within Science, Engineering, Business, or another similar field.

* Service in the military or a law enforcement organisation would be advantageous.

* Project Management or project engineering qualifications and/or experience.

This is a permanent position with a salary guide up to £75,000pa dependent on experience, plus discretionary bonuses, and additional company benefits. If you are interested in this role, then please submit your CV asap as interviews are being held immediately.
