Food Technology Technician - Secondary School
Location: Rochdale
Pay: £110-£130 per day
Hours: 8:30am - 3:00pm
Contract:Full-time, contract, term time only

We are currently seeking an experienced Food Technology Technician to join a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale. This is a full-time contract role supporting the Food Technology department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing ingredients, equipment and materials for Food Technology lessons

Supporting teachers during practical sessions where required

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen/classroom environment

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies

Ensuring all food hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed

Cleaning and maintaining equipment after lessons

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Food Technology Technician in a school

Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures

Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
