Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a rare opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper to join a growing services business based in Doncaster.
This is a newly created position due to company growth and business demand and will provide the successful candidate with autonomy & responsibility whilst also having an excellent support and training system in place.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Bookkeeper includes:
* Creating Sales Invoices & chasing payments
* Inputting Purchase Invoices & creating payment schedules
* Cashflow forecasting
* Bank reconciliations
* Weekly payroll
* Prepayment/Accruals/Payroll Journals
* Preparation of P & L / Balance Sheet including Sales forecasts
* Balance sheet reconciliations (Salary/Expense/Retentions/Prepayments/Accruals Accs)
* Raising PO's
* Submission of VAT via the HMRC MTD portal (linked to Xero)
* Submission of data/timesheets to payroll
* Statement reconciliations (Purchase Ledger)
* Recording and payment of expenses
* General Admin/Ad hoc duties
Skills & Experience Required:
* Must be familiar user of Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets)
* Ability to pick things up quickly
* EXCELLENT attention to detail is a must
* Xero Experience advantageous but not essential
* Outgoing- efficient, homely & hard-working personality
* Must be organised, be able to prioritise work load and work using your own initiative
* Experience in working with sub-contractors/engineers in the construction sector would be helpful but not essential
