Position: Freight Coordinator
Location: Eastleigh
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (APPROX)
Salary: up to £32,000 (DEO)We have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Coordinator to join a well-established team in Southampton. Our client specialises in International Freight Management, including movements by air, sea and road. This role would suit a candidate who is passionate about logistics and enjoys working in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Freight Forwarding operations, with experience dealing with either sea, road or air freight, imports/exports and customs clearance procedures. Multi-modal would be ideal.

Your key responsibilities as a Freight Coordinator:

Complete start-to-finish consignments by sea, air and road freight
Building strong working relationships with clients/shipping lines & agents, good negotiation skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
Completion of customs procedures
Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
An aptitude for sales is desirable
Must have experience working with a UK Based freight forwarderBenefits:
