Job title: Resident Medical Fellow
Job Type: Full-Time, 12 Month FTC with possibility of further extension.
Hours/Shifts: 7 x 25-hour shifts in a monthly-cycle.

Job Description
As a Resident Medical Fellow, you will provide on-site medical support to admitting Consultants, Clinicians and Nursing Staff and will ensure that patients experience the highest level of care and service at The London Clinic.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Matron's Office (Site Management team) and the clinical nursing teams on the surgical wards and the ITU, including other Fellows and Speciality Clinical Fellows.
- Assess patients at the request of Senior Nurses/Ward Manager's and manage any emergency that may arise with the guidance of the consultant in charge.
- Undertake medical procedures where required, such as intravenous infusion, inserting a urinary catheter, arterial blood sampling, ECG`s etc.
- Responsible for checking outpatient medication requirements as well as dose checking protocols and approving medication.
- Contribute to medical clinical/service audits and ensure written appropriate communication and handover to the oncoming RMO.
Skills & Experience
- Full GMC Registration with License to Practice.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, with a resuscitation qualifications (ALS / ILS).
- Post qualification medical/surgical experience
- Provision of all routine clinical procedures normally expected of FT2/3 levels - CPR, Insertion of IV lines, cannulation and supervision of ECG's.
- Excellent communication skills and can demonstrate an empathetic approach to patients as well as build effective relationships with Consultants, Clinicians and Nursing Staff.
