This is a pivotal, senior-level role that spans the full contract lifecycle—from pre-award governance and negotiation through to post-contract delivery and transformation. It's ideal for a commercially astute and strategically minded professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
Here's a breakdown of the key areas of responsibility:
🔹 Pre-Contract Governance, Pricing & Risk
• Lead the review and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Conduct risk assessments and pricing analysis to inform decision-making.
• Ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
🔹 Post-Contract Mobilisation & Operational Readiness
• Support mobilisation activities post-award to ensure readiness.
• Interpret contractual obligations and manage in-life pricing and performance.
• Oversee compliance and collaborate with internal teams to optimise delivery
🔹 Transformation & Performance Analysis
• Contribute to business transformation initiatives.
• Lead performance reviews and commercial analysis.
• Deliver insights that support strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Developing and implementing commercial strategies and governance frameworks.
• Leading tender processes and evaluating bids.
• Conducting contract risk analysis and cost modelling.
• Negotiating fair and commercially viable contract terms.
• Drafting and reviewing contractual agreements.
• Managing contract mobilisation and stakeholder alignment.
• Driving business development and identifying growth opportunities.

✅ Essential Requirements
• Strong understanding of contract structures, including the ability to interpret complex clauses and identify key obligations and risks.
• Proven experience in pre- and post-contract negotiations with successful commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage in-life contracts, ensuring compliance and performance optimisation.
• Experience delivering business transformation projects that drive efficiency and growth.
• Operational understanding of Repair & Maintenance and Network Build contracts.
• High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience in pricing and transformation analysis.
• Solid grasp of contract law and commercial risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including workshop delivery.
• Attention to detail, methodical approach, and ability to work independently or in teams.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and hold a valid driving licence.
• Degree-level qualification and/or recognised professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial/contracts.
• Proven experience managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including pricing models, P&L analysis, and governance.
