Our client specialises in fabricating a range of equipment for use in its "Nature Based” Wastewater Treatment solutions supplied to both UK Water companies and international utilities.

Due to their continued growth and development, they are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Technician to join their growing team.

Permanent full-time role.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

Additional pay:

Discretionary Bonus scheme

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 1 hour for lunch

Job Description, expectations, and duties:

Collaboration with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Collaboration with Managing Director in designing products and solutions.

Collaboration with the Managing Director in research and development of new and existing products and solutions.

Work with Office Support to approve and implement all health and safety (and associated responsibilities) processes and procedures.

Track progress of various projects.

Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.

Collaborate with the sales team to create new products through research and development.

Propose budgets for various projects.

Analyse technology and resource needs to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Support the installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.

Review and approve product design and changes.

Assist with budgets, bids, and contracts.

Work with Managing Director to review and recommend contracts and approve supplier costs.

Design of mechanical components and assessment of design suitability,

Development of equipment specifications and performance requirements

Create and maintain supporting documentation including assembly/arrangement drawings~, operations and equipment operating manuals.

Scheduling and budgeting of resources.

Make cost calculations caused by any changes to the designs and inform the Managing Director of these.

Follow up on component manufacture and equipment assembly ensuring deliverables are in accordance with the specification and industry best practice.

Promoting a safe working environment, following, and implementing company QHSE requirements.

Technical Liaison with colleagues, clients, and suppliers

Qualification required for the role:

Good understanding of CAD and 3D CAD software essential - preferable knowledge with Vectorworks, AutoCAD and Alibre.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal are essential.

Excellent computer skills

Excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of the standards used for design and build of equipment for the water sector is advantageous.

Good report writing skills.

Ability to work in a pressurised environment with a good eye for detail.

Self-motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem solving skills
