Cover Supervisors Needed for September | Liverpool Schools

We're seeking Cover Supervisors for day-to-day and long-term roles starting this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or anyone with a strong classroom presence to gain valuable experience across a variety of secondary schools. You'll be a key part of ensuring student's learning continues smoothly in the absence of their regular teachers.

Location: Our search includes schools throughout the whole of Liverpool and the wider Merseyside region, including the city centre and surrounding areas (L1-L8), North Liverpool (L9-L13, L20-L23), South Liverpool (L14-L19), and further afield (L24-L40).

Pay: We offer a competitive daily rate of £90-£95, with both full-time and part-time options available to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing (Your Main Duties):

  • Supervising pre-planned lessons, delivering pre-set work to a variety of classes.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting student engagement, keeping pupils on task and motivated.
  • Providing feedback to the regular teacher on student progress.
  • Upholding the values and standards of the school community.

Skills & Qualifications needed:

  • A confident and authoritative classroom presence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to be flexible and proactive.
  • Experience working with young people is highly desirable.
  • A degree or Level 3 qualification is a plus, but not essential.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
