SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a warm, welcoming SEN school in Kingston that supports children with moderate learning difficulties. The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. Role: SEN Teaching AssistantContract: ASAP to July 2026 - will view to extend Working hours: Full time, school hours, term time only Key stages: Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4Class size: approximately 10 childrenLocation: KingstonTransport: Accessible by car, local buses and trainsSalary: £95 - £105 per day (Based on experience)

No child based qualifications required but an open mind, passion for supporting chilling with SEN and a willingness to learn

Teacher compliance required:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Right to work in the UK

• Two recent education-related references

• Full, up-to-date CV

• Proof of address and photo ID

• Overseas police checks if required

• Safeguarding training (Tradewind can provide this)

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:

• Be patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting pupils with additional needs

• Have strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach

• Be adaptable and confident differentiating support for a range of abilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

• Be proactive, reliable and committed to helping children progress
