Our client are a rapidly expanding, multi-site leisure business. As they continue an exciting period of growth they are now recruiting an additional Management Accountant to join the finance team in a senior capacity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant to take on greater ownership and play a key role in supporting both head office and newly acquired sites.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the central (head office) accounts while also supporting the integration and performance of newly acquired locations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Line management and development of a direct report
• Ownership of management accounts for head office and sites (P&L and balance sheet)
• Preparation of monthly accounts, P&Ls, and balance sheet reconciliations (including accruals and prepayments)
• Posting month-end journals, including accrued and deferred income
• Reviewing key ledgers, bank reconciliations, and intercompany balances
• Business partnering with SLT and site managers to drive performance and improve EBITDA
• Monitoring costs, approving spend, and analysing margins/stock movements
• Maintaining fixed assets and supporting audit requirements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements

• Finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Commercially minded with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Experience in a multi-site environment is highly advantageous
