Long term English teaching role - through to July 2024

Rate: £165 - £250 per day depending on experience.

This Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary School based in London Borough of City of Westminster are looking for a strong ENGLISH teacher who can deliver lessons to KS3/ KS4 from December 2023 through to July 2024. You will have the opportunity to work with an already highly reputable school and join a performing ENGLISH department. This position is to start in December 2023 and last until the end of the Academic year.

This role would suit practitioners who can teach GCSE level English - however the school would be interested in teachers who can also teach A-level English.

Starting in December 2023, you will be responsible for teaching English across GCSE classes. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.

This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and other school functions. You will join a ENGLISH department alongside 3 ENGLISH Teachers.

* What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and ideally have experience of teaching KS3/KS4 English. You must be available to start from December 2023, and ideally be able to work through to July 2024, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.
