Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Technical Officer to join us in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,777 to £32,076 per annum (pay award pending).

Your role will be to help deliver our commitment to reduce the number of empty homes and to increase the provision of decent and safe homes for our communities.

We are looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. It would be ideal if you have experience working within Environmental Health or Housing and carrying out investigations. You will forward thinking and eager for a challenge.Effective and varied communication skills are essential for this role including the ability to negotiate in complex and difficult scenarios whilst organising/prioritising work to meet deadlines. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with s will also be crucial in achieving positive outcomes.The post holder must be able to work flexibly and use their initiative when working jointly with both internal and external stakeholders.
