The Role
 
Join our growing multidisciplinary team as an Architectural CAD Technician and play a key role in delivering high-quality, co-ordinated 3D models and architectural drawings to project and company standards. Working closely with our CAD & BIM Line Managers, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of BIM processes while helping drive the adoption of innovative digital technologies across our projects.
 
Membership of CIAT would be advantageous however, it is not essential for this role and we welcome applications from candidates who are working towards accreditation or have relevant equivalent experience.
 
Key Responsibilities

Produce high-quality architectural technical design work, delivering accurate, co-ordinated 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD in line with project and company standards.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers and project managers to resolve co-ordination issues, meet deadlines and present models at design meetings.
Set up and manage Revit projects in accordance with BS1192-2, including BIM360 collaboration, drawing production (RTV), and document control systems.
Support BIM development by maintaining CAD/BIM standards, templates and families, while staying up to date with the latest Revit and BIM technologies.
Produce schedules, specifications (NBSChorus), and high-quality 3D visualisations, fly-throughs and walk-throughs using Enscape to support client presentations.
 
Experience & Skills

Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Architectural Technology degree, HNC in Building Studies or similar).
Proven experience in design, drafting, or engineering, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and practical expertise.
Strong working knowledge of current Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape and BIM360, with hands-on experience delivering BIM Level 2 projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience and ability to interface with multi-disciplinary team and integrate design work.
Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and adhere to company standards and procedures.
Good knowledge & skills with BIM/CAD design tools.
Good knowledge & skills with NBS specification software.
Good knowledge of construction techniques and products.
