We're currently hiring Production Operatives for temporary, ongoing roles at Caterpillar's Larne facility.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Assembling, sub-assemblies, options and other components of generator sets.

* Works from prints and standard work instructions to produce components of generator sets and similar large assemblies.

* Works across various areas of the business, including, but not limited to, machine shop, paintline, nutsert and assembly.

* Compliance with safety and quality standards.

* Compliance with the 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.

* Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.

* Train other employees if and when required.

* Any other appropriate duties.

Required Qualifications:

* The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.

* Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns

* Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment

Desired Qualifications:

* The ability to use hand tools, power tools, and to be able to read and interpret drawings.

* Previous experience working in a lean environment.

* Previous electrical/mechanical experience.

* Experience working to takt times.

* Reasonable level of computer literacy where required.

Hours of work and salary:

* Day Shift - £13.33/hr.

* Night Shift - £17.77/hr.

* Overtime - £19.99/hr (First ten hours)

* Overtime - £26.65/hr. (After ten hours overtime)

* 37.5 hours per week. (Mon - Thurs)

Shifts:

Day shift- Monday: 07:00 - 17:15, Tues - Thurs: 07:00 -16:45,*

Night shift- Monday: 21:00 - 07:15, Tues - Thurs: 21:00 - 06:45*

*Shift times may vary depending on work location within the facility.
