Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Location: Surrey

Salary: £28000-£32000 (dependent on experience)

A well-established, design-driven architectural practice based in Surrey is looking for a talented and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its expanding team. This RIBA-chartered studio is recognised for producing high-quality architecture across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, and education. The practice offers a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages creativity, technical development, and professional growth.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant with strong design skills and a keen interest in the technical and delivery aspects of architecture. You will contribute to projects at various RIBA stages, assisting senior team members with design development, drawing packages, and coordination tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of concept and detailed design proposals

Prepare and present drawings, visualisations, and reports for client and planning submissions

Assist in producing technical packages under guidance

Contribute to site coordination and project delivery

Work closely with the internal team and external consultants to ensure cohesive design outcomes

Engage with planning and building regulation processes

Requirements

RIBA Part 2 qualification

Strong design and presentation skills

Experience working on Retail projects
A good understanding of UK planning and building regulations

Proficiency in Revit (essential) and AutoCAD

A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills

Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a professional team environment
