We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable supply Teaching Assistants to work in a range of primary schools across Gravesend. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in classroom support and SEND, who are confident working with pupils of varying abilities and needs. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, assisting with classroom activities, and providing tailored support to students both one to one and in small groups.

We are particularly looking for candidates who are available five days a week and are seeking long term supply opportunities. Successful applicants will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact in the classroom. In return, you will have the opportunity to gain consistent work, build relationships within schools, and further develop your experience across a variety of settings.

About the Role and Key Responsibilities

As a SEND Teaching Assistant working with TailorEDucation, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons or learning activities, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring pupils are inspired to achieve their best. Flexibility, professionalism, and a passion for education are key to success in this role.

The Ideal Candidate Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years Education
  • Experience supporting children and young people on a 1:1 and group basis
  • A nurturing and proactive approach to supporting learning and development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with teachers and other staff
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
