Salary: £51,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Continental shifts (12.25 hours, rotating days & nights - 05:45 to 18:00), 4 on / 4 off

Key Responsibilities 
As a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production operations. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining a safe working environment for employees and visitors

Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to optimise equipment performance

Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption

Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Working collaboratively with production, technical, and engineering teams

Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and managing expectations effectively

Ensuring audit readiness and compliance with relevant standards

Working closely with project engineering teams on site improvements and upgrades

Actively participating in ongoing training and development

Skills & Experience Required 
Essential 

Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment

Electrically or mechanically qualified (or time-served) with multi-skilled capability

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and personal development

Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments

Familiarity with modern production machinery and automated systems
